Our Church community is an active one.  The Parish family at St. John's work together baking and preparing various foods ranging from nut rolls to hoagies.  Each year we gather together to hold a parish festival, which is open to the community at large.  We participate in the Butler Fall Festival and hold a variety of dinners at our church hall.

We offer an ECF program for the youth of our parish and hold a variety of educational activities for Adults.  We celebrate the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom each Saturday , Sunday and Feast Days as well as the Liturgy of PreSanctified Gifts during the Great Fast (lent).

Our Parish participates in the liturgical services offered within the broader Byzantine Community, including the annual Pilgrimage to Mt. St. Macrina in Uniontown, PA and Lenten Vesper services with our local Presbyteral District.

During the year our parish members may also be part of activities such as Byzantine Catholic Day at Kennywood Park, ski trips to Seven Springs and GCU Day with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Following the 10:00 am Divine Liturgy, Annual G.C.U. Lodge 109 sponsored Flag Day Ceremony and Luncheon will be held Sunday June11 at the Lyndora Memorial.
